We spend countless hours in the library to bridge the gap between text book knowledge and application science for fundamental progressions in everything we do for clients. We learn from scholastic activities and we apply these principles to our methodology for simplicity. University of San Diego Finishes 3rd at Cullum Invitational

The University of San Diego men's golf team carded its highest finish in 4 years at the Bill Cullum Invitational in California. HyBridZone collegian and Division I Sophomore Remington Hirano contributed to the team's success as an individual. The next stop is Hawaii for the Toreros at the Hoakolei Invitational in Ewa Beach. 

USC Demand is Stronger Than Ever

The demand to attend the University of Southern California is stronger than ever with more than 66,000 applicants (record in cohort history) to the undergraduate programs and approximately 11% were accepted. Dr. Steven Lorick visited his alma mater to meet with the Rossier School of Education administration. HyBridZone values education and applauds the cohort of diverse and exceptional talent entering the class of 2023.  

Ujimori Finished in Top 10 for Nevada in Idaho

Danni Ujimori finished inside the top 10 at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational hosted by Gonzaga University. The Nevada Wolf Pack Sophomore and HyBridZone collegian finished with a low round of 69 over two days in the individual race with an overall team finish of 3rd place in the tournament. 

Stanford Community Lecture on Youth Golf Education

The Palo Alto University Rotary Club invited Dr. Steven Lorick to speak to the Stanford University business and education communities. He delivered an impactful message about the many benefits of youth development through the game of golf. He highlighted the advancements of the underrepresented communities for college preparation and K-12 achievement in school. 

PGA Merchandise Show - Golf Fitness For Juniors

The 2019 PGA Merchandise Show hosted the world's best educators and vendors with innovative evidence-based products and solutions for the golfing industry. The Titleist Performance Institute presented subject matter experts in the field of golf performance on the Wellness, Golf Fitness, and Instruction stage at the PGA show. Dr. Steven Lorick presented on the bio-mechanics of multi-sport training for junior golfers. 

Golf Generates 84.1 Billion in Economic Activity

According to the U.S. Economy Golf Report, the game of golf drove $84.1 billion of economic activity across the United States in 2016, up from $68.8 billion in 2011. Forecasters are optimistic for growth in 2019. This direct economic activity includes not only core golf facility operational expenditures and capital investments, but also golf-related supplies (i.e., equipment, apparel, and media); golf tournaments, associations, player endorsements, and charitable events; and golf-enabled tourism and real estate.

Korea Wins UL International Crown

Hall of Fame Golfer Se Ri Pak served as the Honorary Director of the UL International Crown in her homeland Korea. Before retiring in 2016, Pak inspired a generation of Korean golfers who dominate the LPGA today. Her mission to grow the game of golf has impacted a revolution of change and her success on the LPGA Tour has made the UL International Crown relevant to global economics. 

Kaneshiro Finishes 3rd at OCC Invitational

Santa Clara Bronco and HyBridZone collegiate golfer, Zachary Kaneshiro, returned home to Hawaii to compete at the Oahu Country Club Invitational in Honolulu. Kaneshiro competed against the top competitors from across the state to finish in the top 3.

 

Kaneshiro made his first appearance at the NCAA Regional in May 2018. We are cheering for his continued success.

Hirano Wins ILH Golf Championship

Punahou senior and HyBridZone junior golfer, Remington Hirano, wrapped up his final season as a top Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) golf champion by winning the boy's individual crown. Hirano is an exceptional high school golfer with numerous academic accolades to match his prowess on the golf course. He will be attending the University of San Diego on a golf scholarship in the Fall.

The NASM OPT model is a platform used by military service members to balance the rigorous demands of duty through its focus on stabilization, strength, and power. Military veteran Dr. Steven Lorick is a subject matter expert for NASM's The Training Edge. Recently, he provided functional training regimes for enlisted, general, and special forces service members for the latest issue.

Golf Spectating Benefits Health

The University of Edinburgh in conjunction with the the World Golf Foundation released new research about the health benefits of golf spectating. The studies verified those who attend golf events could potentially gain benefits similar to those playing in them. According to the British Journal of Sports Medicine, the average golf spectator walks 20,000 steps or 5 miles during a tournament round.

America's Next Great Trainer Advisory Board 2018

ANGT was founded by martial arts and fitness legend, Rob Fletcher, in 2009 to provide fitness, nutrition, sports performance, and wellness advice that transforms lifestyles across America. ANGT also hosts the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio which is celebrating its 30th year in 2018.

Hirano Signs NCAA Division-I with University of San Diego

Punahou School and HyBridZone junior golfer Remington Hirano signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend the University of San Diego on an NCAA Division-1 golf scholarship for 2018. HyBridZone would like to congratulate one of the top junior golfers in Hawaii for his accomplishments as a student athlete. 

David Leadbetter Recieves 2017 PGA Teacher of the Year

Dr. Steven Lorick worked closely with David Leadbetter as the president of Leadbetter Golf Performance to design holistic programs for professional, junior, collegiate, and amateur athletes that combined golf instruction and golf fitness.

HyBridZone collegiate golfer Zachary Kaneshiro is performing well as a Freshman on the Santa Clara men's golf team. Santa Clara won another tournament this season and Kaneshiro carded a 211 for the three round event to finish 5 under. Santa Clara and Kaneshiro are moving up the collegiate rankings with an impressive start for 2017. 

Ujimori Selected to the Asian Pacific Junior Cup

Mid-Pacific Institute senior and HyBridZone junior golfer, Danielle Ujimori, was selected to represent the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association in the Asian Pacific Junior Cup hosted in Japan. The APJC is an annual world-class junior golf tournament that recognizes and rewards the ability of young men and women from Hawaii & Japan, while raising awareness and monies for a variety of local charitable organizations.

Santa Clara University and HyBridZone collegiate golfer Zachary Kaneshiro finished the Alister Mackenzie Invitational hosted by University of California in second place. Freshman Kaneshiro posted another collegiate career low of 2 under to card a 215 overall. Golfweek ranked Santa Clara #4 in last week's collegiate national rankings

Nabilzadeh Finishes 3rd at IMG Junior Golf Tour

HyBridZone junior golfer Rayan Nabilzadeh from Stamford, CT, placed 3rd in the Northeast Series of the IMG Junior Golf Tour. Nabilzadeh has been improving his game in the 11-14 year old category to prepare for the IMG Junior World.
